New York City Street Food Lobster Roll
Plump and juicy Maine lobster meat tossed with a touch of homemade mayo piled on to a toasted buttery split-top bun and topped with paprika and scallions. Served by Red Hook Lobster Pound..
A traditional lobster roll is a sandwich filled with lobster meat soaked in butter and served on a steamed hot dog bun or similar roll, so that the opening is on the top rather than on the side. There are variations of this sandwich made in other parts of New England, which may contain diced celery or scallion, and mayonnaise. The sandwich may also contain lettuce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Traditional New England restaurants serve lobster rolls with potato chips or french fries on the side. For those residing in Connecticut, a lobster roll served warm is simply called a «lobster roll» while the lobster roll served cold as it is throughout the rest of the northeast region and the world is called a «lobster salad roll»..
Lobster rolls in the U.S. are associated with the state of Maine, but are also commonly available at seafood restaurants in the other New England states and on Eastern Long Island, where lobster fishing is common. Lobster rolls prepared in Maine generally have several common characteristics: first, the roll itself is a «New England» or «Frankfurter» roll that is baked slightly differently from a standard hot dog roll, so the sides are flat and can be buttered on the outside and lightly grilled or toasted, and is split on the top instead of the side; second, the lobster meat in the roll is usually served cold, rather than warm or hot; third, there can be a very light spread of mayonnaise inside the bun or tossed with the meat before filling the roll, though usually do not have any other ingredients typical of the «lobster salad» variation in other parts of New England. The lobster meat is usually knuckle, claw, and tail meat chunks, with 4oz of meat («1/4 pound») the common advertised serving size.

My churrasco marinade is a little bit simpler than that. It’s the traditional Brazilian style. All you need is a little bit of salt and some sour orange. and I like to put some chimichurri sauce on it afterwards
Um pouquinho da cultura brasileira aqui… Isso é fraldinha, todas as carnes grelhadas no carvão são churrasco, e carne assada é super abrangente, pode ser qualquer tipo de carne kkk

I love these, but just a little tip if you want to hear my advice. Before you fry them for the second time, run them through some hot water with garlic and salt. Its like Patacones on steroids believe me!
We were just in LA and saw plantains in the grocery store…we were going to buy one and eat it like a banana to try…but chickened out and didn’t! Now I’m going to have to find them in our grocery stores here in Canada and try this!!
Typically on Brazilian restaurants it is called churrasco… In Mexico at least in the northern states it is ARRACHERA… If someone says carne asada or filete or steak or whatever it can be almost any steak. Also, fajitas can be made from different beef cuts.
I got a good Idea for a video, you blend green stuff, strain it, and inject it into a steak of your choice and make the other steak control and don’t tell nothing to angel and have him taste it and tell him after he chooses his favorite
I’m so proud of Angel because he ate his greenies for the first time. He really uped his game and deserves big kudos for stepping outside his comfort zone; this was not only brave on his part but shows he starting to care about his health. Overall Angel was a big boy today and definitely earned his dessert afterwards. Keep up the good work and show Guga you’re not scared of vegetables anymore. Maybe you can eat an onion slice next time on your own and make Gugs proud.
As Jamaican’s everywhere cringe…that is NOT a jerk-chicken, not even close. A handful of the same flavours is about it, not even cooked properly. I love Gordon Ramsay…but, sometimes his head is so far up his own arse I’m surprised there isn’t poop in his forehead wrinkles. This was just utter crap. «let’s make a video, I need to stay relevant and make a few bucks»….this whole thing was utter nonsense. You’re better than this Gordon. If you rated your own video as critically as you do people on Masterchef etc You wouldn’t have much nice to say.
Made this recipe for my boyfriend yesterday, and these were his exact words after taking the first bite, “Are you trying to make me fall even more in love with you?!”. That being said, this has been the best churrasco we’ve ever tasted. THANK YOU!
I just made this. Used flank steak since it’s hard to find skirt around here, and used cilantro instead of parsley for a little more flavor. My baby boys aren’t much for rare steak, so I brought it up to almost medium well.
It was AMAZING! I’m going to be having sexy dreams about that steak for months.
Just a friendly reminder to let you know that this week’s video on how to make patacones (fried green plantain chips) is now available on Sweet y Salado’s YouTube channel.
