Nuzlocke Rules:
Pokemon who faint are dead and cannot be used anymore.
Whiting out means game over. I must start the playthrough over again..
No potions allowed (Hyper potions, full restores, etc.).
I can only catch the first Pokemon I see in each new area I enter (if I already caught the Pokemon then I can catch the next new one I see).
Randomizer Rules:
Wild Pokemon are random.
Trainer Pokemon are random.
Field items are random.
Evolutions are random.
Types are random.
Trainer names are random.

4:38. «Shuckle’s special defense isn’t so good»
Literally the pokemon with the highest special defense in the game, out of every single generation. I also love shuckle, so like damn bro. Can’t imagine challenge going super well considering the lack of pokeknowledge.
With the Pokemon you have leftover the chances of beating the Victory Road and Pokemon league are are not looking to be in your favor:(
But you do have a few spots with good encounters so I say grab those and pick up your fossil and see what team you can get from there then judge your success biased on that

Love the video. Joke aside would not mind seeing if you could scrape anything together with the remains of your team. Can’t wait for the next one.
I know it is going to suck but I think you should try and continue with the remaining pokemon and encounters you have left. It is going to be hell to grind for but to me thats the point of the challenge. Not “can I solo the game with swampert plus random support.”
Mike: This is the first time I’m playing a mainline Pokémon game ever. Gen 1 feels new to me. I won’t be able to name any pokémon.
Also Mike: I know that there’s Meowth, but like, is there other cats? Persian? But isn’t that Meowth evolved?

But I really love that you are playing Pokémon!! And from the ”Gen 1-3 era”, which makes me the most nostalgic and craving a new mainline Pokémon game with the rules and gameplay from those games!! ;o; Everything you do in this stream makes me want to play myself! Not many games make me feel like that when I see them streamed… �� I’m just realizing now why I actually put SO many hours into Silver and Ruby, but beat or quit every mainline game after that pretty quickly and without much of a lasting impression…
Yo I was playing omega Ruby and fucked up the primal groudon fight by oneshotting it with earthquake, so I soft reset and I turns out that I hadn’t saved in a while. I ended up back before tate and liza
I mean… you could restart and not literally put all of your eggs in one basket. Novel idea but spreading out the power on your other mons means you’re not screwing yourself as bad if your one good one dies. That said, IDK what you can really do with the team you have currently.
You’re gonna have to reset man. Huge F in the chat for Lakey. Watching a level 100 mon die like that was the saddest thing I’ve seen today. I really enjoyed watching the live-streams you did of this run and I hope you’ll share them again if/when you try this again.
Still dont know why people hate the later pokemon games and they’ve never tried it. Has Ray ever played a gen 6 or 7 game? I know he tried Black, which is a good game, but not for those who can’t handle difficulty.
Edit; when I said difficulty I meant gen 5, obviously gens 6 and 7 are easier.
i see a lot of people on this stream giving the wrong information to ray, whether because they mistake the game for R/S or they’re just talking shit out of their ass (which is stupid either way), thank god there were still people in chat that actually played the game and know what to do so they can help ray.
Scrape something together because after lilicove You get access to the sea, also surf around the map and get water types, they resist fire and should have some good coverage moves, also pick up one of the fossils. You don’t need a permanent team you just need one till you get access to more routes. There are great mons you can get in victory road, starters and stuff included. You’ll also get a psychic type before fighting tate and Lisa. Also use items to help, quick claw could have saved so many of these mons
Nuzloks are hard enough in gen 3 because you’re limited to the 3 generations and don’t have as diverse of a move pool for the pokémon you catch, adding the wild randomizer you got makes it even worse… I am proud of you for doing more than I ever could have done.
