Pokemon Sapphire by GameFreak. Good Day! We are to catch One of the Eon Duo Legendary Pokemon Latias. You must have beaten the elite four before Latias is available.. Watch and Learn. Latias is Level 40, notice my front pokemon’s level (wailord level 40) is lower or equal to latias’ but higher than the wild pokemon in the area.. Latias is a roaming pokemon, expect him to flee in the first turn. This is the perfect Pokemon to use your Master Ball.. If you don’t have masterball,. 1.buy bunches of ultra balls (30 or more).. 2. Catch Wobuffet(recommended) in Safari Zone. 3. Or have crobat(level 50 or more) learn mean look.. Wobuffet has Shadow tag a passive ability that prevents opposing pokemon from fleeing or switching. Crobat’s Mean Look is same as Shadow Tag but is a move, and needs to be executed first to succeed against Latios, so a faster crobat is needed.

This is part 72 of my ongoing walkthrough for Pokemon Sapphire.. .
In this video, we hunt down Latias, a Dragon/Psychic legendary.. .
Latias and Latios are the toughest Pokemon to catch in this game. You want to use your master ball on this Pokemon. Here’s an overview of the steps to catching this legendary: .
1) Put a Pokemon at level 40 or under in the front of your party.
2) Go to any route where there is grass (I used Route 110).
3) Spray repel, and run around in the grass.
4) If you don’t find the legendary in about 20 steps, leave the route.
5) Enter the route again, and repeat steps 3-4 until you find it. .
Eventually, you will find Latias/Latios. It all depends on how lucky you are, don’t get discouraged if it takes a long time. Once you find the Pokemon, throw your master ball right away. If you don’t have a master ball…. .
If you are trying to catch Latias/Latios with an Ultra Ball, it’s going to be a million times harder! Latias/Latios will run away from battle on its first turn, so you will want a move like Mean Look to prevent it from running. If you are using the Mean Look method, you will have a very hard time because Latias can still outspeed you and run away. Crobat is the fastest Pokemon that can learn Mean Look, so that’s my suggestion.. .

I got faced it accidentally, it was such a shock, because I was just rolling around the grass trying to level up my level 26 or so pokemon. When I faced it, I got too excited that I immediately threw an Ultra ball… it fled.. I WAS SO PISSED
I have rayquaza. If you use a sceptile (mine is lvl94) with flash, I have a strategy. Every time he rests, you use flash as much as you can. When you max it out, you are almost untouchable. Take it from there!
The team you see on the screen is a custom Photoshop image and is inserted into the video with Sony Vegas. It’s quite the complication to get it in the video, as making a layout like that is really time-intensive.
I accident I use the masterball on Rayquaza and I couldn’t reset because if I did I would have to catch Registeel again I kept on retrying and I finally caught Latias with an Ultra Ball and it was my sixth try!!!
Found it at 5:23 Using a MACH bike and traveling south across the Load Line instead of into the building is muchel faster for location shifts. Edit After doing a little more research I think it is more important to cross the «load line» than it is to walk around in the grass, how man steps does it take to have an encounter without max repel? If the answer is less than how many you’ve walked in the tall grass go and cross the «load line»
8-15 steps in tall grass I’m not going to get into how many potential spawn areas there are but it shouldnt take to long for it to travel around the map once.
i hate myself rn i only used 5 max repels and encountered it but i used sing and it FLED. update: i found another latias in lilycove unintentionally and it fled again. this little shit is fucking with me update 2: 15 MINUTES LATER I FIND ANOTHER FUCKING LATIAS ON ROUTE 110 IM TIRED OF THIS BS IT KEEPS FLEEING. im extremely lucky when it comes to finding it but not catching it UPDATE 4 DAYS LATER: ANOTHER LATIAS IN LILYCOVE DESPITE NOT HAVING ANY POKEMON LEVEL 40 OR UNDER IN MY PARTY. did i forget to mention i only have ultra balls? yeah. im almost positive im never gonna catch it. this is torture
i remember my first time finding latias, i had no idea what the heck it was until it first appeared on the sea between lilycove and mossdeep. then i remembered the tv broadcast and caught it immediately
at the part of 9:30 when you were talking about the runner legends. in Gen 1, there actually is a runner, when you beat the game depending on which start you get, that starter’s weakness type is gonna be one of the legendary dogs running around in Kanto. so for instance, i chose charmander, well… when i beat the champion and did the post ending. i ran into SUICUNE.
Wobbuffet has the special ability for preventing a pokemons escape so when you get the pokemon egg from lavarige (i think…the one with the hot sand and steamy water pool) it will hatch into wynaut which will evolve into wobbuffet (or catch one in the pokemon safari).
I remember playing this game as a kid and I didn’t use the internet to learn and spoil the secrets.
I was swimming near mosdeep city I think you call it, and randomly I met Latias and I was shocked. I remember going to school next day and showing all my friends I found this Pokémon nobody else had and it’s on the Pokédex and I’m trying to capture it. My friend recommended I use my masterball because there was a myth that you can only capture it with a masterball. Anyhow I did capture it and my friend wanted it in his Pokédex so I traded it with him and after 2 weeks of him keeping it saying he would give it back I finally got it back. I never traded it again, I trained it to level 100. I developed an affection for it back then due to the circumstances of finding it and what I had to do to get it back. Oh the memories!
