  • OMG! I see your true strategy!
I’ll see if I can defeat him. If not then I just suck and you’re awesome Cyberman.
I am nearly at level 70 and already have the Ultima Weapon and I still couldn’t beat him.
Thanks to this video I can try to use your strategy and see if I win!:’)

  • I hope, if they ever make a hack for KH2, that it would be called «CyberHack65» in honor of the plaher who is so skilled, (s)he can beat the entire game without a single hit of ACTUAL damage, as the amount taken in the Xemnas fight doesn’t count.

  • Gonna die? Heal with Leaf Bracer
Gonna get hit by a Powerful attack? Heal with Leaf Bracer
Just feel like you need more health? Heal with Leaf Bracer
Running out of MP? Just equip MP Rage and don’t do anything
Couldn’t use Leaf Bracer? Don’t worry, that’s what second chance is for

  • How do you get more orichalcum+ if you are short about three or five and have found all the available ores in the game? Can you synthesize them? Because I am sooooo far I’m like level 71 no joke and sephiroth is the last boss I have to fight as a side quest. It bugs me that I can’t beat him with out ultima

  • I remember beating this fight back in OG KH2 where u fought him at level 32 for the extra reward. No ultima keyblade. You had 3 Item uses MAX. ANd absolutely no ability to use limit breaks/limits/forms/drives and of course solo. That was HARD also End phase started halfway through so it was much scarier and he would hit you up in the air and swing at u with aerial attacks didnt even have glide/Double jump yet

  • A majority of people I know who play KH (about 20) found him easy to flawless at level 50. Not a single person I know would get hit at level 70. Getting hit at level 91 is bad.

Also, I’m pretty fucking sure everyone would find Xemnas easy at 30.

  • God he was so much easier in KH2. I remember KH1 when you had to fight him. I spent forever and then one day I finally beat that asshole and it felt like I had climbed the highest mountain or became king of the moon. I was the greatest feeling of accomplishment ever. Then I beat him first try and KH2 and I was like, «The fuck!?»

  • 6:15 You know… That makes sense actually… I mean… The reason why cloud holds such a deep grudge and hated against Seph is not even because he tried to destroy the world… Is more because he killed Aerith but… Here it just doesn’t make sense for Cloud to be hating Seph so much nor to have all of this past bullshit going on… I mean… Dude… Aerith is right. THERE! ALIVE!

  • I just want to say Thank you so much for showing me how to defeat the Lingering Will. Although I am not as good as you and I got killed and hit a lot, with your pointers on when to dodge roll/quick run/block especially during his desperation move, I was able to beat him. So thank you! Also, been watching at your videos for a while now, and finally subscribed.

  • I’ll never forget this,I was watching my older brother play kingdom hearts 2.5 remix and he keeps losing because he doesn’t want to win against sephiroth, then he looked at me and said «would you like a turn»
and I said «yes» but when it was my turn, when I heard the music I thought to myself «Ah crap» and sure enough I got the reaction command down but I lost tho my brother said something and I said «I can barely play the first 1». After that I haven’t played kingdom hearts in a while

  • I was only 10 when I first fought Sephiroth. At the time, I just equipped whatever was new thinking I’d always be stronger. After about 12 or so attempts, I learned just about all his movements and was really good at timing when to attack. I beat him after a couple more tries. I’d never felt so stressed about a boss battle before.
Side Note: This battle was the first time I’d ever heard or seen Sephiroth. I thought it was Riku with a new form at first since he looked very similar.

  • Honestly, when I first fought Sephiroth, I thought it was going to be EXTREMELY easy since of course, (Donald and Goofy are with me!! I can do FINAL FORM UP HIS ASS!!) but it backfired me. COMPLETELY. Had to fight Sephiroth all by myself, fought him about 20 times. I was very bad at this game when I first played it.

  • You know… I can imagine cloud watching sora kicks sephiroth’s ass without taking any damage (that was sick dude….) with his arms crossed and grumbling saying «I could’ve done better…» and tifa patting him on the shoulder «Suuuure you could…»

  • So here’s a story from my LV1 CM experience.

So I was fighting Sephiroth, and he was at Phase II. He starts doing Heartless Angel, I combo him, but he teleports while I’m in the air. I block his next attack with an air-reflect, but then he teleports again and does his flame pillars. I quick run away from that. He teleports once more does his regular combo, I block and counter, He’s about to do it again. I press square, nothing happens, I press it again, nothing happens, I mash the button while checking if it’s square yes it is and I’m dead.

  • It’s a shame the streak of Sephiroth battles for Kingdom hearts broke with Three. I mean I guess it makes sense considering the Final fantasy remake, but at the same time, it would have been an extremely fan pleasing moment, a glorious opportunity to show off a bit of the remake, and a stoke of genius in Hype generation for two games at once.

  • Memories…THAT fight made me sad, he wasn’t a fraction as tough as he was in the first game, mostly because Sora’s combo attacks got such a huge overhaul in KH2, to say nothing of Trinity Limit. As well, that ultimate weapon is so much stronger than the one in KH, to the point where you don’t really even need to grind your stats that much. Get to around lv. 80 or so, gear yourself out with elixirs and make sure you have the Second Chance ability and you’re basically fine. Curaga for normal healing, Elixirs are for emergencies or a Sin Angel you let him get off. Worst comes to worst, reflect-spam, pop a turbo ether, repeat.

  • How do I prevent Sora’s stupid ass from jumping and swinging over Sephiroth’s head literally every time he lands near me?

The combat in this game is atrocious. It would be vastly improved if Sora didn’t automatically jump at enemies that are clearly on the ground, cause it causes me to miss the hit, get hit myself, and use an inappropriate combo.

  • This fight was so difficult for me until I realized that Terra has a ludicrously high Revenge Value so you can just beat the holy shit out of him for damage. I didn’t realize until then that his defense lowers with each combo. Made this fight actually doable for me.

  • If you consider annoyance synonymous with amusement (which would be pretty irrational) then sure. Otherwise, not at all.

Also, coming back to this video without a comment link isn’t really being nosy. It’s just being annoyed. Let’s stop ruining the comment section.

  • When I was ten years old i stumbled across this boss in my travels I was around level 50 or so not knowing I was about to have my ass handed to me on a silver plate I went into the fight. It took me 1 million tries and I had to max out everything level equipment whatever I dont even remember all the hell I went through it was so long ago but I do remember that feeling of triumph when I finally whooped sephiroths ass and that my friends is when I learned the meaning of determination.

  • just recently played KH1 for the first time, sad I didnt see this video before which would make the fight probable more enjoyable when I fought him on lvl 69 I used different strategy in first stage, instead of waiting for him to teleport to me I jumped and glided to him > he did either justr basic attack or the jump attack and jump beck under me> then I would get back to ground and strike him… but I couldnt get almost any strikes at him in second stage and ended up just spaming strike raid the whole second and third stage using 2 or 3 elixirs in process

  • I actually found Sephiroth to be a pretty easy fight at a high level after getting used to his patterns, especially since it’s the same every time, and he has distinct parts of the fight. But Terra… Terra, man. He’s so sporadic and different every time it’s a wonderful challenge.

  • 8 year old Me: “ha platinum? This is means nothing.. what’s next the wind titan?”
sees long haired man with one black wing
    Me: “ i know not…. is that? Naw,it can’t be.”
Music: “”Estuans interius ira vehementi Estuans interius ira vehementi Sephiroth!”
    Me: screaming in terror

  • I actually Beaten Him In other Guide That Helped Me But One Of MY BROS DELETED THE FILE THAT I DEFEATED SEPHIROTH

    Anyway Extra Tips

    1. I recommended Practice A Bit

    2. Have Any Limits Execpt Trinity Limit

    3. DON’T EVEN JUST ATTACKING HIM Time is The Key

    4. If Your In Proud mode I Recommended Farm And Have the Ultima Weapon

    5. If Sephiroth Has Green Health Left Use Ragnorak Or Ars Acarnum

    6. Equip Alot Of Defense And Hp Or Mp Accesrioes

Welp I Hope this Extra Tips Help You i guess

  • The only attacks that I can’t do consistently are the gliding attack, and teleport slash. I usually end up guarding too early, and he hits me from the side or something.

edit: BTW, does anyone know any ways to avoid dying if Terra starts off with his Ground Combo?

  • You made the GAME look easy at level 1. So easy, that I decided to try and do it.

After getting stuck on almost every story encounter, I just got to Xigbar. I can barely push sephiroth into the second phase, Larxene is impossible, how do I even START Marluxia?!

But it has been fun. Thanks for making this sort of content, it reminds me lvl 1 cm is doable.

  • I dont mean to be rude, But why would you spend so much time mastering this game D:
Like I was literally the BIGGEST kingdom hearts fan(I was obsessed) but like I think that was mainly due to the story and not really the gameplay. I mean the game play was fun but going this far is not something on my bucket list lol. Surely if you put your time into another game like uh League of legends you could possibly have more fun, or any online game since you can have others to compete against?

  • The first time I managed to defeat Sephiroth (which was the same day I’m writing this comment, in all honesty), I actually didn’t use Decisive Pumpkin… However, I DID use the Rumbling Rose, as I found that after the first two hits in an aerial combo, you can stuff a square button finisher in there before the two finishing hits, effectively adding to the damage.:D
In any case, it did take more than enough times to do it correctly… I believe I died 32 times, all in all.

  • for the record, if dodging every one of sephiroth’s attacks was so easy, most people would be able to do it at level 1. it’s a matter of getting his pattern memorized. if you really did this then beating him at level 10 would a cake walk. and there we have it. your argument is full of shit. it’s easy to call something easy in order to stand out, but most people are dignified enough not to indulge in this unwarranted self-flattery.

  • Sephiroth was a PAIN in Proud difficulty from my PS2 experience, and even tougher than the first, but I still got him. And yes, I did it WITHOUT using Limits. The cutscene with Cloud and the fighting girl is epic. Really makes you appreciate FF7. But I still don’t get how a 15yr old with a Keyblade aided with DONALD and GOOFY defeat one of the most badass bosses ever in a video game TWICE. Stupid plot armor…

I can tell the player is doing BEGINNER difficulty. Not a good show off.

  • Seriously you are such a wonderful, amazing, thoughtful and incredible person for putting this video together. I can tell you really put a lot of time and effort into this and honestly this was such a HUGE help. I can’t thank you enough for making this video!

  • After reaching level 100 and beating the other secret bosses I’ve finally beat him. The key for me was switching keyblades because Divine Rose wasn’t getting the job done, I used the keyblades that dealt with mp and critical damage (Lion heart). First attempt I got him close to green but that stupid health and mp goes to 0 move got me. Second attempt he tried it again but before he could do it I would super glide to him and attack before he can cast it. Long story short I won.

  • I managed to beat him on Expert, thought that was a total pain in the neck. I love his voice in the first KH, especially when he says «dodge this!»

But because I played the original PS2 version, I didn’t expect that epic extra cutscene it lacked. Really makes you appreciate FF7.

And whoever was playing this wasn’t doing the fight very skillfully.

  • I’m shocked that I beat this in like 10 tries level 80 no superglide, and with the divine rose. And the weapon after winning isn’t worth it anyway. (For me, anyway.) I have to use the leaf bracer ability so healing won’t get me hurt.

  • I still say this fight was WAY harder than the one in KH2. Smaller area, no mental preparation or dialogue. Just straight up, «I’m going to die, like immediately» emotion sweeping over you. KH2 you knew there was going to be some cheese and that it was going to take time to figure out. This was just a straight up, SAW level gauntlet of madness suddenly raining down on you like you could magically tap into Master Materia across game universes if you even HOPED to survive.

  • on the off chance you actually pulled this off, good for you. but don’t have raise the standards for others. t’s a feat, not something most people can accomplish. this kind of attitude would get you nowhere in life and there is nothing more impressive than someone who is both exceptional and modest.

  • I would also suggest buying 3 fire bands and equipping them all on sora with areoga on urself. That’ll reduce the fire damage by 60 percent. It’ll also raise ur defense and attack power by 6. The best way 2 farm some gold is in hollow bastion with jackpot, treasure magnet, and tech boosts ability equip with every1 and everything. If u beat a defender it’ll drop 120 munny and if u beat a big black and brown heartless that’ll annoyingly body slam u u can get 70 munny. And with all of the tech boosts equip u can get over 120 exp 2 level up faster.

  • My favorite time that I had beaten him was at Lv.43 I brang every drive form ability to Lv.1 so that i could do them all including glide, stocked up on elixers, and used the Fatal Crest keyblade you win at a tournament in the hercule’s world(might’ve been a paradox cup win) so that by the off chance that Sephiroth’s heartless angel move struck me i would use elixer&constantly use fatal crest since its special ability is berserk meaning when the magic gauge is empty, your combos are never ending.

  • It’s funny. First time I ever played Kingdom Hearts I was literally Sora in terms of I didn’t know who the hell any of the Final Fantasy characters were. As far as I was concerned they were just some OG characters made up for plot purposes and so not just Sora was someone outside the Disney characters so when I fought this guy I had no idea for the 5 second ride of hell I was about to go through. And to this day of still don’t know who the hell he is other than he’s the Final Fantasy XII villain. Not that the game’s been remade I guess I’ll finally find out who this guy is and why everyone loves/hates him.

  • Excellent guide. Thanks to it I could beat Sephiroth extremely easily. I would just recommend also removing finisher abilities such as Stun Impact, Zantetsuken and Gravity Break which don’t work on bosses and they just slow you down, leaving a window of opportunity to the boss for retaliation.

  • I can understand just how freaking HARD Sephiroth is.  He is by far among one of the toughest Kingdom Hearts Super-bosses around.  The first and second of this series with him is hard, but his second variation is even harder because he has a move that drains your entire supply of HP and MP!  You can only survive that with Second Chance!

I see you used a Limit against Sephiroth and I understand how you mentioned that you used a bunch of Power Boosts.  Me, I did something insane.  I have learned that Sephiroth ALWAYS vanishes whenever you attempt to use a Combo Finisher.  Discovering that, I took advantage of it by using a REDICULOUS series of Arial Combo Plus abilities where you first attack, but then press the Square Button to extend that combo for as long as possible.  I used that to such insane effectiveness that it OFTEN prevented Sephiroth from attacking for LONG periods of time!

I like the fact that you equipped Elixirs, I used them every time he landed that Death Attack on me and I still beat him, thing is I never used a single Limit Break against him.

  • I love this fight! It has to be my favorite KH fight so far. He’s tough, but once you get the hang of him you can do him at about level 45-50. (At least that’s what I did) And wow, I completely forgot about limits HA. I usually just play it safe which takes a long ass time.

  • One of the biggest kingdom hearts achievements of mine is beating Sephiroth with the Kingdom Key lv 27 on critical mode having nothing to heal myself. Needless too say it took alot……of tries haha but it was the most statisfying thing when i was younger This game is truly timeless!

  • Did they change him from the original Ps2 version? Because I beat him without a guide as a kid but now I had to look up a guide and I can’t imagine what the hell I did… Lol. I just remember dodge rolling around a lot…

    Edit

Nevermind… First try beat him, and I panicked my way through it. xD Leaf Bracer + Level 100 made it super easy. He got me once with that dumb 1/1 technique and I roll dodged to safety, and elixired myself. I’m glad I wasn’t streaming it because I just flailed around, and counterattack spammed for the invulnerability frames. Lol! As a kid I must have just spammed dodge roll, cure, counterattack, and elixirs when he 1/1ed me til I beat him.

  • When he does his invincible sword slash combo,my trick is to time your dodge roll and roll towards him when he starts attacking, after three slashed he will start again dashing towards you,use dodge roll again.Do this three times and then use your healing spell before he does the final strike and you should be safe.
After a few tries you will get the timing for this and it will be a free hit combo for you.
