There is no reset switch and the battery is not removable so even though it is easy to reset most people don’t stumble across the solution. In this video I cover all resets available to Kindle Fire 7 9th Gen. These resets also apply to other Kindle Fire models. I mention 2 types of soft resets and 2 types of hard resets; one that can be selected through the main settings on the device and other that can be applied if the device is not powering on.. I would also recommend plugging device to charger while doing the reset to see if it makes any difference.. Please let me know if you have any questions.

my account is de-registered when i try to register my device, it says i need a wifi network, but when i hit the wifi networks tab, all i see are locked networks, including my old one. How do i get rid of the old secure network info.
Owner of this channel, please help me! I’ve factory reset my kindle then selected the reboot option but my tab is stuck on the fire logo. Nothing else is happening. For the last 72 hours no matter how much I repeated the process. The problem remains the same. HELP ME BROTHER PLEASE!!!
I’ve tried to do the hard reset several times, a message appears that say failure to mount to cache, or something like that. In any case the tablet is still stuck on the screen with the Fire logo no matter how many times I’ve tried to reset the tablet. Help!!!!!! Please and thank you
I have tried to factory reset it by pushing the power button and the volume button but it still won’t work it just keeps turning on to the main screen for me to enter the password but the keyboard isn’t even popping up for me to put a password can anybody help
It didint work for me I first put wipe data\factory reset then I did yes delete all user data then I put reboot system now but it took me back to Amazon system recovery�������� and it not working can you do a video on how to fix it����
Thanks man!! You are a FUCKING GENIUS!!! A FUCKING FUCKING GENIUS!! INDEED A FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING! I had seen other guides before but they did no properly explain how to get the menu. ie releasing the buttons when the Amazon logo came up, I kept holding them and went into the fucked up up boot process. I was on the verge of taking it back which would mean someone would have had access to the date on my device, albeit not much, but it would have had some passwords on it to accounts were someone could have spent my money. I was not sure which accounts might be on there so I guess I have to change them all, however I guess as all the data gets wiped it would not have been a problem unless they managed to boot it without wiping. Sorry about all the swearing at the start but it emphaises how pleased I was to get it fixed!! You just earned yourself a subscriber!!!
I pressed the wrong language button by mistake upon startying the new paperwhite, I don’t have a menu button yet because I don’t understand the language..how can I start all over again. I followed the instructions above..but I get the same language back and he menu button doesn’t give me a language choice
i have the newer one and i powered it off, then held volume up and power for about 15 secs, let up and the factory reset options awaited me. very happy since i forgot the sign in info… or maybe it was volume down… well if one doesnt work, the other will.:)
It goes to the screen with the tree but doesn’t have the loading bar (or circle). It will blank out every few minutes or so like it’s trying and then go back to the same screen with the tree. It’s been doing it for a few hours.
We have an «Enter Passcode» on our lock screen Kindle Paperwhite that suddenly appeared. We never set this up with a number passcode. I tried doing what you suggested above, but when it restarts, it always goes to the «Enter Passcode» box.
I thought I was going to have to replace my kindle again. The last on was dropped on a tile floor. It was destroyed. My kindle goes everywhere I go. This reset worked first try. I’ve recently gotten notices from Amazon that I should trade in my Kindle Paperwhite for a newer model. Well, now, suddenly it won’t hold a charge. This is totally out of anything I’ve experienced with this device. It’s not like it’s slowed down over time, in the last 2 days from full charge with only about an hour of use time. The battery is zero. I think Amazon has killed the battery so I’ll trade it in����
In my case it didn’t work. But I got in touch with Amazon and they said I had to update my kindle, which I did following instructions (basically downloaded the file to my PC and dragged to my kindle).
My kindle is kind of stuck. It is showing only the picture of a boy reading under the tree. I pressed the lock button more than 40 seconds, but no positive results. I even charged it, but it did not restart.
OMG FKN TY SO MUCH…….I’ve been staring almost all day at what I thought was a dead tablet and almost about to junk it, wasn’t turning on or lighting up in any wqy, watched your vid and thought «hey it’s a longshot, but why not»….couldn’t believe my eyes when the blasted thing lit up ^_^, liked and subbed, tyvm again!!!

I have a problem with Parental controls… my mom put it on YEARS ago and cant remember password. I cant reset the password because it asks to sign in to the Amazon account. She dont remember that either. I tried resetting the whole Kindle, but because of parental controls I cant. Idk if y’all can help but please try. Btw I have the Kindle 3rd generation 2013. I hate kindles os Expecaly on the hd 8.9 Y didnt they just use the stock Android like everyone else? The browser sucks, Manly because it uses bing The app store sucks, Its impossible to find the power, and the volume buttons are super confusing

I have an Amazon Fire HD 10 7th gen. and I tried to perform this task watching another video first. That guy was saying to press volume «DOWN» button which was WRONG. Also it was showing like the two buttons have to be hold untill the menu pop-up which was WRONG, the buttons have to be released when you see the «amazon» logo. Well done, and thank you!
