Great video Nick! How is this going to change in June 2020 (FICO 10)? I did this for two friends who needed my help with their credit score. I added them to my Chase credit card (with immaculate paying history). They both received a whopping 35 points increase on their credit score.

I was on the edge of ending it man for real 100% 2 years ago 513 credit score twice the knowledge of mining that my boss could ever have and no way out. 2 hernia’s and bad back and a boss that did not give a shit!! Said well you could always get welfare and file for disability. He told me to stop trying to become a successes you are 42 years old and damn near crippled it’s over for you! You have a job untill your production falls after that its out with the old in with the new at a cheaper hourly rate. 8 months ago, I remembered my score used 2 b 500 now Im pushing 720 score. I thought I had 2 hire a credit law firm but by watching all Mike’s videos I’m a master.

Great Info. Thank you. Some questions. When you get signed up as a AU, you only need to be signed on for 2 months or does it take 2 months to start reporting? Also, when you are taken off, doesn’t this hurt your credit score because the trade line is closed? And for credit, can you get a card and same credit limit from the same issuer? Or is this merely to improve your credit score?

It’s a new topic/idea for some so I can easily see where the confusion and concerns come from. There are a few dynamics at hand:
is it legal?
Can I get scammed?
Is it moral/ethical?
What happens when I get off of that account?

is it legal? ��Yes it is legal

Can I get scammed? ��The person giving you their SS# and DOB should fear you more than the other way around. They don’t have access to the actual card ��
Is it moral/ethical? ��if we are using the same rubric we use to determine if it’s ok for the banks to charge the fees that they do (maintenance/overdraft/interest 17%-31%) then I’ll let you decide

What happens when I get off of that account? ��The purpose of using this method is to increase your scores so that you do something with them while they’re elevated: get better rates on a �� or �� (purchase or refinance) or open up a card �� of your own. If you open a few cards of your own that can help to offset some of the drop off in available credit although they obviously won’t have the age on them seeing as how they’re brand new cards.

Overall, this is best used by folks who have matured in their relationship with money. Why do this if you’re just going to run up the new cards and end up owing more, with worse credit? But there are those that are hamstrung by mistakes made at 19 or 20 when �� aren’t even fully developed and no one gave them any financial education. This allows people to repair their credit well before the 7 year jail sentence is up. I worked on getting one credit card �� paid off then did this on a small scale with people I know and used those funds to pay off the rest of my cards. None of my friends used their increased scores to get into further debt. And I eliminated mine. Went from the low 500s to 725 in short order. Best wishes on your journey ����

Can you qualify for low cost home with the only thing on your credit report 2 trade lines? I never cared for credit till recently. I’m on my dads 2 credit cards that I never use. I have 0 debt since I only have 2 AU cards. The AU lines are very big.

Should I use these trade lines to just open a credit card or two and use these credit cards for months to build my own personal credit? If so, how long do I have to wait once I have the new primary credit lines? Please reply back

Hey nick great video, I just want to know how do discover cards go? It’s my oldest card at 4 and a half years. Im going to test one but I just don’t want it to get closed lol. Is chase the best out of all the banks they work with?

It’s good to buy trade lines. But what you do is fix your credit first then add the trades. You mentioned «It’s okay to piggy back off a family member credit but dont do it with the tradelines» The trade line and piggy backing off a family member is the same thing. It’s still an AU (Authorized User)

This seems very questionable, ethically. You are consuming the credit card company’s resources (creating and sending you a card), but they receive no net benefit. I could not in good conscience do this.

My scores are still rising!! Equifax180 points, Transunion 160, and Experian 177 points. My scores started at 620, 612, and 568. I’m going to keep saying it over and over again. I fully understand how it works but surely the credit card companies don’t like this, right? You’re sorta trying to “trick” lenders or givers of credit into thinking someone is more “worthy” than they really are. I would be afraid my cc would close my account.

I would imagine none of these trade lines or options would work after you pay for them if you try to get a loan and they see that you have loans you couldn’t pay off in the past or late on loans I would imagine it’s only good for getting a credit card or maybe a new vehicle. Once the credit companies see you’ve had late payments or didn’t pay certain loans off You’re not getting any loans no matter if you’re on a 200 million dollar trade line that’s 50 years old

If you have 800 score and have One negative late payment, it will drag your score to low 600. If you have multiple charge off, late payment and collection, AU can boost the score (based on which fico model it is…)But one purchases AU is not strong enough to off set all that negative remarks.

Removing negative items are priority.

One you remove all your negative items, most people go back to 680-699 Range. You basically have no history or credit. You can start getting one CC at a time and built it up but you might think the process is too slow.

So if you are in that Blank slate 700 range, you can AU can boost you to 730± then you Can get multiple CC and you can build it up credit history faster. But AU is only helpful if you got no negative items.

I think this is good information but you can still use tradelines to help you build your credit score. Open up an account in your name using the tradeline and start using it. Yes I agree people are using it for a quick fix and I believe you shouldn’t do that

I called Experican as their «Boost program» is an abject failure and a way to rip off people. I said after adding my banks when they confirmed, adding in my bills when they also conformed, then nothing synched up after 3 months which they also confirmed. Jason White makes a video telling people 3 reasons not to buy trade lines. All the comments are about people buying trade lines. LOL. Honestly, I’m about to buy two trade lines next week. I’ve been siting on this idea for years. Nothing in this video has changed my mind. But thank you because I needed to hear the best logical argument against buying them. So far, the people who have bought and used them are winning the debate. I do wish you would have given us an idea of how many potential points our credit would go up if we used a secured loan or card. Does it compare to the potential points you get from a trade line? People who are buying trade lines are seeing their scores go up by 70 points or better.

Jason, clarify credit utilization, at the end of the statement are they going off of how much credit was used? Or the final balance? I pay my credit cards off but balance doesnt replenish, im new to credit just turned 19.
