I found myself needing to free up hard drive space on my iMac. As I looked to see where all my storage was being used, I discovered that my Dropbox Desktop App was using 95GB. Since I have Dropbox online, I didn’t need it to duplicate my same files on my hard drive. To remove Dropbox from a Mac, just follow the directions in the video.. My iMac only has 256GB of HD space so removing 95GB was very helpful. A lot of people may not realize that when you use the Dropbox Desktop App you are using valuable hard drive space and it may not be necessary.. I will show you how to close dropbox on your computer and then you can remove the Dropbox folder into trash.

So, I was trying to figure out where all my hard drive space went. Dropbox is a brilliant tool, but sometimes you need to uninstall it from your Mac. In my case, I had no hard drive space.
