  • Hi so I know this video was posted along time ago but I’m in a weird situation and I don’t low if I’m just over think or not. So I had unprotected sex July 6th and with 7-10 hours after the same day I took a plan b pill. The week after I had two days of spotting. It was kind of a bright red the first day then by the second day it was brown. Today is now July 30th and I was according to my Flo app supposed to start my period July 26th and I still have not. I know you said after 21 days of you not starting your period you should see a doctor but should I be worried?

  • My first time I’ve had to use plan B was when I went traveling to Brazil by myself. I had to go into the pharmacy and I was dreading it cuz they don’t speak English and everything was in Portuguese and my using Google translate and just trying to awkwardly explain my situation they knew right away what I wanted and it actually wasn’t that hard of a situation

  • I have a question, from a very young age I’ve always had irregular periods so should I take this plan b right after sex or wait a couple hours? Since I do have irregular periods what would be the side effects?? Would it be the same for women that get their period every month or would it be different?

  • also, my college offered generic at the pharmacy on campus for $12!!!! check out and see if your school has the same deal (I actually bought a pack and brought it along for spring break with a group of girls and somebody in our group needed it! was great to have around for prevention!)

  • i am currently not sexually active and i take my birth control regularly so this video doesn’t necessarily pertain to me, but i wanted to thank you for talking about this topic! it’s a shame how taboo the topic of anything related to pregnancy prevention is in this country. women’s bodies should not be politicized and thank you for shedding more light on this product and giving more information to other women!! you badass

  • Monica, please educate yourself on the pork industry. They are awful. Not surprising that they convinced you to dedicate an entire blog to them they are so persuasive. You don’t need pork in your life and you certainly don’t need to be promoting the pork industry.

  • Should i be good if i Took this yesterday and my lh was 19. checked it today and its 33. Today was supposed to be my peak day which is why im guessing my lh went up Should i be good im due to ovulate tomorrow so i guess i took it 2 days before ovulation.

  • OK ladies………. just because there is birth control and Plan B, that doesn’t mean you should go sleeping around, or embracing casual sex…..  giving your body to someone you just met, or someone you think will be around for a long time, is not healthy or wise………   if you end up pregnant, you will have a terribly difficult decision to make……. Don’t let a guy pressure you into sex!!    So, this one girl was 15 years old sleeping around…….. then in college and sleeping around…… not healthy!!  Totally, in the moment….. that’s the problem!!  Think ladies!!

  • I think it’s awesome that you want to talk about this! And yes, we are in charge of our reproductive health and our choices. One choice we make is whether or not to have sex in the first place. I wish abstinence was talked about as often as other forms of birth control (pills, IUD’s, condoms, and abortions). The only true 100% way of not getting pregnant is to abstain. I understand what the company says on their website, but I believe that life begins at conception and if there’s any chance of a fertilized egg being harmed, I choose not to use it. This articles does reference what I’m talking about that Plan B has omitted the fact that there’s a chance (however low or rare) that it could make the environment harmful and prevent implantation. I don’t take birth control pills for this reason as well. We women do have a choice, and we can choose life! https://www.lifenews.com/2012/03/16/hhs-info-contradicts-fda-on-plan-bs-abortifacient-nature/

  • The condom broke 2 times within a week but he did not finish yet and we took it out as soon as I felt it pop. The condom has spermicide but I still am worried I could be pregnant. What are the chances that could happen? Please answer I’m very scared.

  • Okay so I took plan be last Monday and I’m starting to bleed now and my period isn’t supposed to come till next weekend and I’ve been told this is normal but I do have a question, even though I took the plan b and I’m spotting/ bleeding really lightly is there still a chance that you could get/be pregnant?

  • so i had unprotected sex the 29th of june and i was unfortunately ovulating but my last day of ovulating was supposed to be the 30th of june and i took the one step plan b about 15-25 minutes after, my period is supposed to come on the 13th of july and today is the 30th and i havent spotted or anything kinda just had a little headache and kinda tired, what is the chance of be being pregnant.. i need help on this one pls!!

  • NEED ANSWER ASAP!!! Me and my girlfriend sex the 27th at 5:00pm and she took plan be the next morning at 11:40am I didn’t finish inside her but she decided to play it safe, the day of her period was on 28th which was the same day she took the plan b. Later on that day at around 5:00 we had sex again but didn’t I didn’t finish inside her I finished outside her, and after that we cleaned up and we both peed, 1hr later we proceeded to have sex 1 last time and I didn’t finish at all. When is she supposed to get her period??? She’s 2 days late and the plan b says it could take up to a week. But In all the attempts of having sex I didn’t finish inside her at all. She’s been having cramps is that’s a sign of the period coming???

  • Hey! So I just started birth control two days ago (on Monday) and it’s Wednesday. I understand that the birth control won’t take full effect until 7 days, officially a week. However, my boyfriend and I had sex. I didn’t take the pill until 4-5 hours afterwards. Am I okay?

  • I had unprotected sex the 22 and a couple hours later I took plan b. I was expecting my Period the 26, I spotted that day but after that I haven’t bleed. It’s the 28 and I haven’t bleed at all. Is is common for plan b to cause a change in our cycle?

  • Thank god for Plan B, I’ve had to take it twice (before I got my IUD), the first time I ever had sex, the condom broke and another time without using a condom (EeeeKk, never again), got an IUD but thanks to Plan B never ended up pregnant!

  • I have been married since 9years without any child. My Fallopian tubes was blocked I tried everything possible to get pregnant nothing was working. I visited so many hospital’s my problem never seems to end i lost hope and feel depress. I was suprise about the testimony and decided to talk with him about my own issue… After explaining to him he said I have to purchase some medication from him after getting this medication i became pregnant and give birth. If you want to talk to Dr Marcus  contact him on whatsapp +2349035530865Email address:Drmarcusherbs@gmail.com

  • Hey! Before I say anything I just want to clarify that I am NOT here to judge anyone who has used Plan B, or who will use Plan B in the future. I just want to inform people about Plan B as well! Yes, Plan B works primarily to stop the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation like they said), but if an egg has already been fertilized by the sperm, Plan B may prevent the fertilized egg from attaching to the womb. A fertilized egg is the first stage of life for the human baby. If you do end up with a fertilized egg (a baby), your baby attaches to the womb to receive nutrients so he or she can grow into a full size baby. Plan B may work to stop your baby from attaching to the womb, and without the nutrients, the baby cannot live, and will die. Once again I am not here to judge anyone! I just want to inform people about how Plan B works as well:). If you want to learn more about how Plan B works outside of the Plan B website, you can check out #5 on Web MD:

    Thanks! ❤️

  • is very light spotting a few days after taking plan b normal? we did the pull out method and i am 99% sure he did not ejaculate inside of me it’s just that i was worried about pre-ejaculation so i got a plan b to ease my nerves. around 5 days after taking it i’ve started spotting very very lightly, maybe like 4 or 5 drops of blood in total, definitely not enough to wear a pad for. my period ended on the 20th, we had intercourse on the 23rd around 8pm and i got a plan b the next morning so a full 24 hours did not pass. thanks in advance!

  • I stopped my period and that day I had unproductive sex the next morning I took plan b and a couple days later I had dark bleeding for about 3 days….. my period was supposed to start 3 days ago but it hasn’t. Is that normal for the bleeding and late period? I’m a young teen and I can’t be a teen mom what should I do I need answers I can’t stop thinking about. He said he didn’t cum that he pulled out fast but I took a plan b just to play it safe so I’m not sure.

  • I took a plan b and 5 days later I bled blackish dark blood for 5 days. But my period wasn’t supposed to come for another 2 weeks so I guess it was early. Then about a week later I bed lighish blood for 2 days. Is this normal?? I’ve never had irregular periods

  • I’m glad we are having more open conversations about birth control but I’m disappointed that they didn’t mention that plan b does not work at all for women who weigh more than 175 pounds and becomes less effective if you weigh more than 165.

  • Wow. Unsubscribing. I’m shocked at how many of your subscribers support this. On top of that, this is a medication that should not just be thrown out there as safe.

If you don’t want to get pregnant, don’t have sex. Period.

Having sex and thinking there are no consequences is very foolish and selfish.

  • I am pro-life and don’t believe in Plan B/morning after pill. No matter what stage of pregnancy you are in, you still have a human being. The movie Unplanned is a good example of why Planned Parenthood and abortions are bad and this morning after pill is like an abortion. If people feel like condoms or birth control pills don’t work, an IUD might be more for them. After having our son who was planned, I knew that I was happy with just having one child. I had never been on a birth control ever before when I was a teenager/young adult but after my pregnancy I did research and chose an IUD called Paragard and it lasts for 10 years and is hormone-free so it will not make you gain weight or have mood swings. But I want to add that anyone can have bad side effects whatever they take and nothing is 100% effective. The only stories I have heard of with IUD’s is the copper wire implant cutting them internally but I think that was a recall on Mirena (IUD with hormones) but not saying Paragard wouldn’t but it has worked for me without any problems for 3 years now and I have good peace of mind knowing I haven’t killed a present baby.

  • I took the pill twice within a week (i had unprotected S*x both days) one was on tuesday, the other was on saturday, its the next week on thursday and now im bleeding…is this normal? i ended my period two days before taking the pill the first time

  • Hey question, I’m worried I had unprotected sex the day of my ovulation and I took a plan b the next day but I heard if the egg had already been released that it doesn’t work it’s been 8 days and I’ve been cramping ever since and recently just started bleeding it’s not light nor heavy so is this a sign that it worked?

  • It dries up your uterine wall so the egg can’t implant so basically the fertilized egg can’t get any food. It starves the egg by drying up the wall so it can’t survive or implant. If you believe life begins at conception you might not realize you’d be starving your child to death.

  • So my girl starting bleeding a Lil bit after taking the pill for like a day but she has a irregular cycle and she is having lower abdomen pain is this normal need to know ASAP! And the even happened two days ago we took it in like 14 hours

  • If I just got of my period 3 days ago, will the pill still make me bleed? I’ve seen most comments say that it makes them spot or it makes their period come sooner please help I don’t know If I should take it, I’m scared of the side effects

  • Consider the risks of how this could potentially effect your hormones long term. The rates of infertility have skyrocketed over the past several years… just food for thought. Birth Control hormone support is spread out over a months span. Plan B delivers a major hit in a one day dose to knock your cycle out of whack to potentially prevent pregnancy. The only reason I mention this is because I think there are people out there that rely on this option a little too much rather than maybe that one time oopsie.

  • Plan B was useful since I’ve taken it 3 times but it always messed my cycle up so bad. I eventually just felt bad using it with how much it messed me up. Therefore I made smarter decisions when I had sex and I haven’t had to use it in a like 3 to 4 years so that’s a plus. Note: I’ve been with the same person the whole time and am not taking birth control.

  • Hi,
I’m a 23 yr old who just had sex for the first time(Friday). My bf didn’t pull out the first time we did it, I bought Plan B the following day later (Saturday). And they we were intimate a few hours later and had another accident that same day (Saturday). I bought another plan B the following day (Sunday). I’m new to all these and I’m so nervous because my period isn’t here yet. My period was supposed to come on the Saturday anyway. I hope you see this

  • It is so nice that you are talking about this!! Always remember to read the information that is provided to you by the company with the medication if you take it. Monica’s video is for opening up the conversation, the details about how it will impact you and your body are personal. The information sheet covers any risks associated, efficiency, and all of that stuff.:)

  • Can plan b delay your period??? IM soooo worried, I have gone a week without my period and im scared… we used condoms the whole time but it wasn’t perfect that’s why I took plan b…. ALSO I never really had irregular periods…. )):

  • PLEASE HELP!! I took a plan b the same day I had sex and about 5 days later I started to bleed. It wasn’t my period because it was light and I don’t think it was implantation bleeding either bc it almost filled a tampon and was heavy enough to saturate and leak off of a liner. It was also like bright red period blood, not the light pink or dark brown of implantation bleeding. Why did I bleed though? Also my period is a few days later. Is this a side effect of plan b? Someone please help

  • I really loved that you guys talked about this! Birth control and plan b are so important to know of. There is always a chance that your birth control method fails and getting a plan b quickly is super important in preventing an unwanted pregnancy<3

  • This saved me when the condom broke once before I was able to start birth control. My ex drove me 90 minutes to the nearest walmart(we used to live in a secluded town without 24 hour stores) right after the «accident» and I took it and all was well. <3 Edit: the cashier though was VERY judgemental which was not cool, but again we lived in a small republican town so... people just need to be educated.

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER! I’m sooo confused and worried!!

So basically my period always gets a bit irregular during the summer. For example, I missed a whole month last summer but then it came the next month and went back normal.

Now, I had unprotected sex while my period was already one week late on 07/07/20. I took the plan b within the 72 hrs the next day. My period has still NOT came. I got a bit worried so I took a pregnancy test yesterday 07/10/20 and it came out negative.

Should I be worried that my period is not coming down and I might be pregnant? I had lost my virginity a week prior to my period even coming and I read somewhere where it said that hormones could be a reason why your period could come late(which is why I didn’t worry when it was already late). Also, does that mean that my egg had probably already dropped that the plan B did not work and I’m pregnant??? Or I’m i just over reacting and stressing and should just wait till next month or after 21 days for my period to come and just assume it skipped this month?

    Please answer I’m so desperate!

  • First of all, LOVE that you are talking about this!! Thank you for tackling taboo subjects like this! I do want to acknowledge that getting Plan B isn’t easy for everyone, because it’s like $50 at Walmart and $25 from planned parenthood, which is a lot of money for some people. I think it’s easy to say that it’s easy to get, if that amount of money isn’t an obstacle for you, but it is for some people, and it should be more affordable.

  • I think the fact that this product is called Plan B means that there is meant to be a Plan A already in place. Being «in between pills» or having «unprotected sex» is NOT a Plan A, it is being irresponsible. If you can’t take birth control, don’t have sex, period. I’m obviously talking about consensual sex, not situations where you don’t have a choice. I mean I suppose it’s better than getting pregnant and having an abortion but I don’t think it was meant as the only birth control you take after a night where you should have waited until your next birth control pill took effect or you could use protection.

  • hi! I had unprotected sex today(may 25th) and my last day on having my period was 3 days ago(may 22nd),my bf told me he ejaculated in me so we went to target and got the plan b. 2 hrs passed and I took it. my next cycle is supposed to be June 19. is the pill going to work? and am I going to get my period earlier? please answer this, its our first time and we’re scared lol!! (btw I start ovulation in 5 days)
