  • One more thing all cricketers need to learn from Shane is how he keeps his mind clear when he is on the field. From the news and the troubles he gets into, he seems similar to Jesse Ryder. But look how there is a big difference in match temperament and professionalism. We have seen how people with similar freakish lifestyles have let their character affect their game and vanish, but not Warne.

When he is onto the field he wants to contribute even though he is playing with seniors and legends like McGrath, Ponting, Gilly, Lee who are all masters in their own skill.

  • sir iam a right hand leggy my age 15 and i dont know what iam doing wrong but not getting the turn:( i cheacked the grip everytihing, i get turn when balling standing but with te run up its not turning much and having too much flight plzz help me
    Thankyou

  • hello coach i have one big problem when ever i throw ball to batsmen the ball spins tooo much that i throw atleast 9 delieveries in an over my ball spins too much and when i try to spin ball less then i get atleast 3 sixes in an over any tip

  • Hey coach,
I have been told I am a brilliant legspinner for my age (I am 13) but have been told to improve the way I hold the ball. I am a bit unorthodox but I feel comfortable with the way I bowl and cant bowl as well when I try to bowl in a more orthodox way. Should I continue with what I do or change to the more orthodox leg spin finger positioning?

  • hii sir
I have problem in delivering leg spin. I can bowl googly very well and I have bowled 4 overs bowling googly in a match in which I got 4 wickets.
and I bowl lot of googlies in nets also because of that my wrist and finger doesn’t work properly when I bowl leg spin. so can you give me some tips.

  • This was mostly from warnes goldern years 1993-1997, when he had a ball that deceived batsmen (flipper). Post period he never had any deceiving weapons and just relied on his deadly accuracy. This is why Muralitharan averages far better than Warne, he always had a deceiving ball up his sleeve.

  • dont think indians will ever be scared to watch any spinners..coming to point Warne is the best spinner of all time,he can spin the ball long way and he can use googly, top spin all with same action and no noticiable difference and most importantly without chucking unlike many spinners nowadays

  • hye coach. really need your advise or a tips how to get my bowling back. after 10 years not playing cricket, now i try to get myself start again but it seems like i loss my leg spin bowling rythm, eventhough sometimes i managed to flight n land the ball at a perfect line, ball are not turning at all. i can felt my fingers n wrist are twisting when releasing the ball but the result no turn. coach, please help me..

  • Two things practically no Spin bowler in world Cricket has today, that’s presence & that’s a sense of theater. Warnie was a leg spin bowler, with a fast bowlers mentality. Even though he didn’t have the advantage a fast bowler had of being able to bowl 150km bouncers, he was still just as intimidating. Which is just extraordinary when you think he basically walked in to bowl and was primarily bowling 82-85km an hour leg breaks.

Most spin bowlers i watch these days always seem to hurry through their overs, often because they are being used just to try to dry up an end, and as a way to give the quick bowlers a rest. Which is a real shame as real spin bowlers can be so dangerous.

An absolute cricketing genius unquestionably. And in my opinion, the greatest cricketer of all time.

  • hey,if anyone else needs to find out about cricket tips try Jaffacter Cricket Player Coach (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got great success with it.

  • Hearing people talking about Warne having some freakish ability that allowed him to drift the ball, while Murali has the same thing and they call him a chucker. Oh the irony.

Both bowlers were geniuses that we will never see again, especially in the T20 era.

  • hi The Cricket School, I think this video really puts forward an excellent practice philosophy, but there is no need to straighten the arm of the young bowler or indeed correct his head. If you check the position Shane Warne himself is in at 2:52 he has a similar arm and head position.

  • Hello mate, I’m going to add your vid to my blog as it’s useful. We’re currently discussing this on bigcricket in the wrist spin forum. A lot of the pro’s talk about spinning the ball hard first and foremost, but do you think with kids that are totally new to cricket they have to have a basic bowling action first? But at what point would you then take the ‘Spin it hard first and foremost’ approach?

  • Hi I love this video, especially the exhortation in the second half about cricket tips turn bowling procedures. An item I likewise found helpful for cricket bowling tips video was Knewreck cricket exercises manage on the off chance that anybody needs to realize more search on google.

  • Well he might have been thrashed by Indian batsmen but that doesn’t take away his match turning and winning ability. Arguably the greatest bowler, fast and spinner combined, the game has ever seen. A thinking bowler. Each bowl of his seemed like a tactic.

  • All the talk about that ‘ability’ and a horrendous average of 43 in India!! Given the conditions he should’ve had his best figures in India. I say he just wasn’t good enough to tame the Indian players in India. A similarly poor show in the West Indies, thanks to a man called Brian Lara.

  • It astonishes me how intelligent Warne, Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, and Gilchrist. Listening to their commentary, with Warne and Ponting in particular, I realized how they are assessing the game and are always thinking a step ahead. No wonder they were invincible. So much talent, Waugh brothers, Mcgrath, Martyn, and Lee included, and such brainpower, that they just steamrolled teams.

  • First off all my respect to legend warne
Any ordinary plyer from india sri Lanka or maybe from Pakistan*not sure actually bcz there bating is not soo good*
But they also had some good Batsman like inzi we can murder spin bowler we destroyed alot off spinners even legendary shane warne struggled in india but shane warne still manage to do well he’s a legend no spinner like him before

  • It’s good that you’re not hitting him out of the park. I’d be interested in seeing the unedited version. Give him a bucket full of balls say 36 and lets see how it looks without any cuts in the video. But as I said before, loads of kids can do this, they have a natural ability, but they soon lose interest when they start getting hit around the park and their averages rocket and come away from the game aware that their mates who bowl seam up went for far less runs. They then feel like it was their contribution to the game that lost the match. It’ll be great if he can come through all that as well as all the distractions kids face. Has he got brothers, mates or a Dad that is full on behind him, if so he might come through. He needs to be at all summer as he gets older and I mean all summer.

  • Hey Coach, I’m bowling consistent leg spin balls pitching it perfectly, consistently at a high level of cricket. But when I release my leg break the seam is scrambled and not straight, how does this effect the bowling and would it be worth changing the release?? Btw even with scrambled seam the ball is turning massively.
