Hey guys, and welcome back to another weekly recap. In the weekly recap I like to go over anything interesting in the osrs community this week..
I will be going over this weeks content update, which implemented more things from poll #72. On top of that I will be going over the brand new poll blog for poll #73. This is mostly going to be QoL changes, however there will also be some fairly important item changes..

i once got a rune platebody from the mystery box waaay back in the day while I was wearing mithril and could barely afford a mithril scim. My mind was absolutely blown I felt like I win the lottery…if you dont believe me look up the mystery box, its the rarest item you can get from it I believe
The mining all the time, both explosions, pickaxe flying apart all the time, also swarms. one i do kind of miss was the teleportation anti-cheat, where you had to pull levers, you could get gems or law runes as a reward.
I loved the weapon damaging random events, it made the game less afk so you actually had to play the game. I however didnt know that you could fix your pick or axe. When they got broken I just dropped them and went and bought a new one every time. I probably lost 20+ rune axe’s and hatchets to those events lol. I miss the steam while mining though. I thought the explosion was cool lol.
if jagex doesnt put a permanent monument of you in game in morytania theyre absolutely insane, what you’ve done this series and the dedication you’ve given it just blows everything else out of the water, by far.
Time before G.E. when I was a kid and a noob, some 3 lvl guy was selling yew logs at Varrock west bank and there was tons of people there so you couldn’t see anything. Then this dwarf random event came to him the one that gives you kebab and a beer, but if you don’t talk to him, he starts to hit you 1’s. The yew seller didn’t see the dwarf and got smacked by the dwarf and I quickly took the coins from the ground but I wasn’t fast enough to take the yews. The drop also had basic stuff from tutorial island so I assume he was a bot. Well then I checked my money pile and it was 1,6m and I had like 4k previously. That was a massive amount for a noob and I became the respected lucky millionaire among my friends (alot of friends and neighbours played rs then)
Your dedication is absolutely astonishing my man! I honestly didn’t think your grind would come to a happy end nor did I even think a Morytania clue completion was possible but you amazed me and probably a lot of other people. Congrats and keep on making the sick OSRS content man!!!
I remember the Dr jackal event was a lot more terrifying because if unnoticed he would transform into hyde and attack you. Someone I knew DCd during one and came back dead in lumby. He lost a santa hat
the back to back bloodhound pet is pretty crazy, but the reason why the bloodhound pet is considered rare is because of how long it takes to do master clues and pet hunters can’t farm them. But, 1/1000 really isn’t that rare, it’s still 1/million for back to back but I think we’ve seen rarer iirc
I remember mining and my pickaxe head would go flying and if I remember right I wasn’t paying attention one time and lost my pickaxe head and had to go buy a new rune pickaxe. When I started back up a few years ago I feared mining because of it… good ol days
I got my first rune axe from a random event! I saw someone cutting maple trees outside of the Catherby bank and watched as his axe head fly off. I was a little bit an ass back then, so I started lighting fires all over the place so the guy wouldn’t find his axe head. 60 seconds later, I picked up his rune axe head, attached it to a handle, and had my own rune axe.
Heres an idea. Instead of just multi zone and non-multi zones, create additional types of zones. For example, at revs it could be non-multi but doesnt apply to npcs. Pkers could come attack anyone they want without any boxing happening. Accompany this with making it deeper wildly so it takes longer to get to a tele. But it would alleviate the need for protection clans as you could escape on your own.
While I really like their response to the Wilderness. And to the revenants. It’s still totally dumb to be quite honest. With a hot spot, keyword spot, comes a singular area that a clan can lockdown or a group of people can lock down. If you have roaming revenants, it increases the player count of the overall Wilderness rather than a singular spot. You already have the enclave, why not make revenants roam around it? Or make them roam around the Wilderness entirely? I feel like that would be a much better option because it would increase the player count of the Wilderness by default instead of just a hotspot
I remember there was this random event that would note your items, it happened to me when I was a kid. I didn’t know what a banknote was, I thought my items had been magically turned to paper. So I dropped everything, thinking it was worthless lmfao
Yep been through it all sleeping bags the carpenters skill that we couldn’t train.. sailor skill that everyone was exited about… I was best friends with double bubble tronsqueen trons1000 altron7632 hell my guys maybe not forgotten about like major pain99 The Legs ranger 007 lord daveo zocck01 bio blade rage0fmagic… lolz forgetting some accounts but started with I was 12yrs old back in 1999 before it was even called runescape been playing off and on still to this day I’m now 33yrs old… I’m not rich in the game I been hacked I been banned for using my aunt’s credit card and she didn’t know who jagex was so she disputed the $60 payments for 4yrs and now I owe jagex over $300 before I can get a couple accounts back. Lolz might be worth it with some rare items but it’s really not… I turned my pures into mains and kept on trucking… I’ll always play runescape… I also do drops on f2p at the grand exchange on rs3 and osrs pending how profitable my week was it’s usually 1m-10m on osrs and on rs3 it’s usually 25m-125m I will drop it’s between items and GP that I drop. �� probably shouldn’t keep doing it but meh it’s fun makes me feel better like I did my good deed for the day since I sat on my butt playing games all day so it’s nice to brighten someone’s world on runescape… I’m always talkin and typing so add me if anyone cares to. Bio Blade is one of my mains that plays both osrs and rs3 so I can hang out wherever you are
People would often try to kill the damaging events, with prayer they were quite easy. Many had chances of decent rewards (rune picks and axes from golem and tree spirit), shade pieces from the shades, lots of feathers from the evil chicken (which were still worth something, though not much). Many killed them for the challenge, and many people would bring a weapon when skilling to kill them. A great example is Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde, who would give much better rewards if you killed him rather than talked to him high level herbs or potions, rather than just a strength pots.
The only one that gave no reward for killing was the strange plant, which while seemingly invincible, could be killed by using guthans armour. While you had a max hit of 3 against the strange plant, and it had very high hp, as healing was calculated before the strange plant’s damage reduction, you could hit a 2 and heal a 20.
It however took a good 10+ minutes to kill, and gave no drops at all.

The problem isn’t the rev caves, it’s the wilderness. The dev’s keep saying they want PvP hotspots but the wilderness doesn’t incentivize PvP but PKing. The dev’s need to change the wilderness no the revs caves
Nobody ever brings this up but lumb elite ring is also useful as like a budget construction cape. If you have spirit tree in house and port sarim, the ring gives unlimited teles to cabbage patch near port sarim tree. A couple extra steps, but still, in a way, unlimited free teles to your house.
That first one seemed based on data that hasn’t been researched. What are the chances of people dying at the same time they kill Zulrah? Even then, there’s no way to determine whether you would have gotten the pet regardless of whether you died or not
I know this is off topic but I do believe the restrictions put on new accounts like the 10 Quest points and the 20 hours played and 100 total skill level is pointless.
Because Bots can still avoid detection bye logging in and out regularly to act as if it’s a normal player most people are not reporting them because they’re usually to their selves not saying people wouldn’t report them because people do sometimes they report innocent players but that’s beside the point my point is this is pointless useless because but I’ve been doing this without restrictions for years they can go on with their merry way continue to collect items that are restricted until they are no longer restricted by the sheer amount of levels they have from doing one or multiple different skills each day or every other day or even by doing a single skill the point is it has done nothing because prices have gone way down because there are even more Bots and there were before it just created more Bots then it stopped and it restricts new players from being able to do anything and still has it stopped nothing all it has done is decrease the game population by a large margin more than it was before quarantine I do apologize I’m using text-to-speech stay safe everyone.
I enjoyed watching the video but I’m pretty sure that you don’t calculate probability that way. In an isolated instance, yeah you multiply each chance by the other e.g. 1,000 x 1,000 is 1 million (like the visage and pick axe in one drop) but b2b2b2b gems is not nearly as rare.
Someone smarter than me could work out the gem chance drop but it’s probably not even in the hundreds of thousands let alone millions:>

So what would happen if, A. Gets Mort Clue, B. Does clue step, C. Gets non mort clue so goes hunting for new clue, D. Gets new clue with mort step AFTER completing previous step, E. Completed new clues mort step. Does it still stack or no?
Rev protection clans should technically be against rules already, it brakes real life laws as it is a form of extorsion. I know that sounds crazy but OSRS gold holds a real life value so it becomes a real life crime. Anyone have any thought on this? If I am wrong please correct me.
I think the change to the slayer cape is terrible. I agree that pures should be able to use duradel but all they need to do is add a second gate. Like 100 combat OR 80 slayer. They are basically gonna make the slayer cape even more useless.
I remember watching someone’s rune pickaxe head fly off while essence mining so I stood on top of the tile I saw it land on with a robe bottom on, which hid it.. I saw the player walk around a bit trying to find it but he couldn’t and I took it when it spawned.. Funny thing is, I didn’t have a handle to fit it in so it sat in my bank for about a week until I had a pickaxe head fly off and was able to place it back on.. And that’s how I got my first rune item!
If you where to set up your bank and runelite right it wouldn’t be as much of a pain to runecraft.
• Setting up so your vials to break after you use them,
• decanting your staminas to 1 dose, setting up shift options for rune pouches to empty,
• setting up runelite: «menu entry swapper» > «item swaps» > «bank deposit»: «eat/wield/etc.», «Bank withdraw»: «withdraw-1»
I would also suggest not trusting other runners because there’s a chance of them standing for a while doing nothing midway. To avoid that I used gpu plugin for 2-3 click altar run.
Starting off in the bank, if you don’t have your stamina effect shift click on stamina potion(1) in the bank, then shift click it again when its in your inventory. Click on your essences to withdraw from the bank, shift click on your rune pouch to fill it. Repeat untill all of your rune pouches and inventory is full. Exit bank and travel via preferred method to altar. When you use up your inventory essences shift click on your rune pouches to empty them out. Repeat runecrafting until all essences are concerted to runes. Return to bank
For anyone watching, please for the love of god don’t boost RC steps like Mammal does.
bring boosts to the altar. Bring essence pouches filled with essence to make up for invents used for stews + spice. The rest of your invent filled with essence. Drop the amount of essence you have pouches (so if you brought 3 pouches, drop 3 essence). Step off this tile. Do your boosts. If you get the +5 boost, drop the stews and spice, empty your pouches to fill those invents, then drop the pouches. Pick up your essence off the ground and craft.

You know, I was gonna say that I miss the guardians because of how intimidating the evil chicken was as a fresh faced noob that didn’t know jack about RS, but then I remembered how much I want the current events to stop bothering me when I’m skilling, and they don’t even do anything to you.
I’m happy to see them wanting to lower the requirement for the permanent rope at KQ. I’ve never understood why that was an Elite reward in the first place, always felt like it should’ve been a hard diary reward.
People saying revs this, revs that. NO. Remove the fucking rev caves, it’s not good content even if you could access the place, and it never should have been in the game in the first place. Jed and ROT rigged the polls for rev caves so they could gold farm from them and make money, they knew that revs were fucking OP, REMOVE REVS AS AN INTEGRITY CHANGE AND DO NOT REPOLL THEM.
The only reasonable fix to revs I have heard was from a commenter on Theoatrix’s video saying that when you enter the caves it could place you in a random instance of 15 people, there are still issues with this but it seems to be the best solution for countering clans locking the caves down.

Have the revenants wander the wilderness using a system similar to how imps spawn. Single revenants wandering around the wilderness would make people wander the entirety of the wilderness to find them and it would still let those going into the wilderness for clues to just turn on protection prayers and run away.

They shouldve never removed the random events that tried to kill you. Should have never changed the death mechanics. You die. You lose your stuff. They should have added more ways to kill you, but instead they have it completely safe in most pvm and skilling.

We need to be able to trade spirit tree seeds for teir 5 seed packs. Also need a update to Hespori seeds as well.. either lower drop rate or be able to use x2 or x3 when planting for better drop table when killing Hespori. I have over 500 Hespori seeds, almost 200kc.. way to common to get them.
Jagex always nerfs things instead of fixing the gold farmer problem… zalcano, rev caves, brutal black dragons, theres tons of examples and it neverrrrrrrr works all they end up doing is pissing off the good people who do those to progress their accounts because the gold farmers spend all day every day getting gp the 200k to 400k gp difference and hour doesnt effect them as much as regular players so they stay there or worse they move on to the next thing and it ends up getting nerfed…. its effin horrible…… jagex seems to think that 1m gp an hour is the max anything should ever be for max mains due to gold farmers… its fucked really. Zalcano is a perfect example because instead of banning the accounts selling the gold they grind there ( which would set back the gold farmers sooooo much due to prifindas having a 70 construction and many other 70s required costing more then 50m and hundreds of hours to obtain) they just nerf the activity and it ruins the game for the good players who follow the rules
I stopped playing but still enjoy watching videos. I wish I could go back when I was a kid and had all the time in the world. This game just takes so much time to get anywhere and as an adult, it’s way harder to enjoy it.
PLEAAAASE bring back stealing creation. That was my favorite mini game in the history of OSRS. Just fix the rewards to make them balanced and not OP. It’s a great mini game utilizing all of the skills in the game
